The Dorm

The school’s main dormitory is located right next to the school, facing the sea and Ny-Hellesund.

From the dormitory, you have a panoramic view of the beautiful southern Norwegian archipelago and the idyllic Ny-Hellesund. Just below lies Kvernhusvannet, a beautiful lake with a scenic trail of about 3.5 km – perfect for a jog, a mushroom-picking trip, or a leisurely Sunday walk in nature.

Accommodation:
The school can accommodate up to 115 students. The main dormitory has 32 single rooms and 30 double rooms. We also use the school’s conference center—often called “the hotel”—to house everyone. In total, there are 115 beds, divided among 7 student groups. The main dormitory accommodates 84 students, while the remaining students stay at the “hotel,” where all rooms have private bathrooms and toilets.

Each student group is a mix of students from different programs and both genders, so you quickly get to know new people. Showers and toilets are shared by four students, but arrangements are always made so you share with others of the same gender.

Room assignments are made the week before school starts. If you have special needs or requests, just contact the school—we will do our best to accommodate you.
