In the spring semester, we travel to London, one of Europe’s most vibrant and inspiring film cities. Here you’ll find everything from grand theaters and film history to modern technology and creative chaos. We will, among other things, visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour and The Making of Harry Potter, BFI Southbank, the London Film Museum, Tate Modern, Camden Market, Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Notting Hill, and Westminster.
There will also be time to experience iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and Hyde Park, as well as visit locations featured in famous films.
We stay centrally at a hotel with breakfast, close to public transport and city life. You are welcome to suggest ideas for the group program, and we will tailor the trip to the group. Of course, we will also make films while we are there, using London as our backdrop.
A good balance is planned between scheduled line activities and time for your own experiences (and film projects). You will receive weekly subway passes and funds to choose some activities in smaller groups.
Breakfast is included at the hotel, and we will have 3–5 group dinners during the week. The rooms will also receive funds for simpler meals along the way, but it is recommended to set aside some personal money if you want to explore the city’s many restaurants and cafés.
