About next schoolyear

Welcome to Agder folkehøgskole 2020-21. Here is some information

We are currently working on adjustments for the Autumn semester. The world has changed in a short time and will probably continue to be different for quite some time.

Perhaps many feel unsafe about what is happening in the future, among other things. This is very understandable.

Schools in Norway are starting to open again, little by little. Everything indicates that folk high schools will open as planned in the autumn. Minister of Education Henrik Asheim says, in an interview, that there is only the possibility of a closure of folkehøgskoler in the autumn "if the corona blooms again."

Naturally, there will be some changes for the autumn semester. Everything is not clear yet, but we are working on it and will present more information at a later time. Among other things, we probably need to move trips from autumn to spring, but not for Norwegian & Culture class - they will go as scheduled.

There is a possibility that you will need a 14 days quarantine. This may not be the case in August. But if you need a quarantine it is possible to do so at our school.

For those of you who need a student visa: UDI’s issuing of visas are paused. The Norwegian folkehøgsskoler’s organization has a dialogue with the government to find a solution. We will come back when we have more information about this.

About additional subject: Some schools charge extra for those subjects. At Agder fhs additional subjects are for free.

At last - we wish you a really good summer - which will probably be different than planned, but it can be great anyway.

Welcome to the school opening, Sunday 23 August
