Iceland is known for its unique nature, with volcanoes, glaciers, hot springs, and waterfalls. The country has a dramatic landscape, making it perfect for outdoor activities, geology, and nature-based tourism.

This is a destination for the Tourism and Development program.

Iceland is hot springs, lava, active volcanoes, magnificent waterfalls, and plenty of good food. Our ancestors emigrated to Iceland at the end of the 9th century and settled there. Ingólfur Arnarson arrived in Iceland and founded Reykjavík around 872.

In Iceland, you’ll have the chance to experience many exciting activities. You can “fly over Iceland” in an amazing simulator, drive the Golden Circle, visit Europe’s first parliament at Þingvellir, watch water shoot sky-high from the Strokkur geyser at Geysir, and see the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall.

You’ll also have the opportunity to bathe in natural hot springs.
