August
The first two weeks are spent getting to know as many people as possible. The entire school actively participates in various fun activities and an overnight trip.
September
In September, we will go to the mountains and stay overnight in tents and a DNT cabin. We will learn more about coastal culture and visit various tourist destinations in Southern Norway.
October
Troll Aktiv, Southern Norway’s largest adventure company, is 45 minutes away, and we will go there for rafting. We will also take a trip to Denmark.
November
We will stay in the lighthouse keeper’s house at Lista Lighthouse, visit day-trip cabins, the zoo, and other popular places. The school holds a friends and family party in mid-November, which we help prepare. Otherwise, we try to collaborate with other programs both outdoors and indoors.
December
In December, we prepare a student evening on a Saturday for the rest of the school. It’s the Christmas season, with ‘nisse’ friends, advent calendars, a Santa workshop, and the school’s Christmas party with all the Christmas food you can imagine.
January
We prepare for the study trip and travel at the end of the month to Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
February
In February, we will be traveling in Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
March
We travel to the winter sports destination Hovden in Setesdal. The school has a cabin there with a view of Hovden Alpine Center and the surrounding mountains. Cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, cozy cabin time, and hot chocolate will be central activities.
April
In April, we travel to Jæren to surf. We borrow equipment and take a surf course, while in the evenings we relax in the beach apartment with good food. The Pulpit Rock is not far away, and we also stay there during the same trip.
May
The last two weeks will be spent together with all the programs at the school. The time will be used for various activities and an overnight trip to Ny-Hellesund with the entire school.
